Sundowns Confirms Goss Remains At SuperSport

Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed that goalkeeper Ricardo Goss will continue his loan spell with city rivals SuperSport United for the next two seasons
Goss has spent the past two seasons on loan at Matsatsantsa, initially alongside Grant Magerman.
However, SuperSport decided to buy Magerman permanently at the start of the 2022/23 season. During the past two seasons with Gavin Hunt’s side, the Durban-born goalkeeper has amassed 57 appearances across all competitions, keeping 19 clean sheets.
Goss, who spent five seasons with Golden Arrows before joining Bidvest Wits, signed for Sundowns in the 2020/21 season. This move came after Bidvest Wits was acquired by Lawrence Mulaudzi and reformed as TTM (Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila). Unable to retain some of Wits’ top players, Sundowns acquired both Goss and Gift Motupa.
While Goss has secured two league titles, the MTN8, and the Nedbank Cup with Sundowns, his playing time was limited during these triumphs.
He was also part of the Bafana Bafana squad that achieved a historic feat, claiming the bronze medal in the Africa Cup of Nations in February – South Africa’s best finish in the tournament for 24 years.
SuperSport has also signed Nyiko Mobbie on a two-year deal. He just like Goss, was at Sundowns before but never played for the club. He was last season on loan to Sekhukhune United. He too was part of Bafana Bafana side that claimed the AFCON bronze medal.
