Watch: Mhango Involved In Car Accident
Marumo Gallants striker Gabadinho Mhango was reportedly involved in a car accident in Bloemfontein. The incident, which occurred at an unspecified time, resulted in Mhango crashing his black VW Polo into a Quantum.
The striker sustained an injury to his forehead.
This is not the first time Mhango has been involved in off-field incidents since joining the PSL. His behavior has led to him being overlooked by the Malawian national team coach, Patrick Mabedi.
Prior to joining Gallants, Mhango was released by AmaZulu due to off-field issues. He subsequently joined Moroka Swallows but transferred to Gallants when the club acquired Swallows’ status.
Despite scoring a consolation goal against Mamelodi Sundowns in his third appearance for Gallants this season, Mhango was absent from the team’s 1-0 victory over AmaZulu. His involvement in the car accident may have contributed to his omission.
Mhango, a former league champion with Bidvest Wits, has made 254 appearances in the PSL, scoring 72 goals and providing 16 assists.
