Mosimane Finds A New Home
Persian Gulf Pro League side Esteghlal has appointed former Bafana Bafana coach Pitso Mosimane as their new head coach.
Mosimane will be joined by his coaching staff, including Muzi Matlala, Kyle Solomons, Mahier Davids, and strength and conditioning coach Kabelo Rangoaga.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns and Al Ahly coach replaces Javad Nekounam in the head coach role at the nine-time league champions with immediate effect.
The change was made due to the team’s poor start to the season, where the two-time Asian Champions League winners are currently languishing 11th in the 16-team league after seven games.
Esteghlal is currently competing in the AFC Champions League.
