Pirates vs. Polokwane’s MTN8 Quarter-Final Sold Out

Tickets for the MTN8 quarter-final match between Orlando Pirates and Polokwane City at Orlando Stadium on Saturday have officially sold out.

As the defending champions, having won the last three seasons, Pirates are aiming for a record-breaking fourth consecutive title. However, Polokwane City stands in their way.

All three of Pirates’ recent MTN8 victories came under former coach Jose Riveiro, who left the club at the end of last season and has been replaced by Abdelsam Ouaddou. The new coach will hope to avoid becoming the first Pirates coach since Josef Zinnbauer in the 2021/22 season to lose in the opening round of the competition.

Adding to the excitement is the debut of new signings like Sipho Mbule and Oswin Appollis. Fans are also eager to see them play in the club’s new kit.

For those who couldn’t secure a ticket, the match will be broadcast live on SuperSport 2 and SABC 1. Kick-off is at 15:00.
