PSL Confirm MTN8 Semi-Final Draw Date

The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has confirmed that the MTN8 semi-finals draw will take place this Sunday evening, immediately following the final quarter-final match.
The last quarter-final fixture features Mamelodi Sundowns, who last won the MTN8 in 2021, taking on debutant Richards Bay at Lucas Moripe Stadium at 18:00 on Sunday.
The quarter-final action kicks off on Saturday with two matches: Orlando Pirates, the three-time defending champions, will host Polokwane City at a sold-out Orlando Stadium at 15:00.
Sekhukhune United will then play against TS Galaxy at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium at 18:00.
On Sunday, before the Sundowns match, last season’s losing finalists Stellenbosch will face off against AmaZulu, who were the losing finalists in the 2022/23 season. That game is at DHL Stadium at 15:00.
MTN8 Semi-Final Draw Procedure
The PSL has outlined the following procedure for the draw:
- One bowl will be used, containing four balls with the names of the four semi-finalists.
- The first ball drawn will be the home team for the first semi-final tie.
- The second ball drawn will be the away team for the first semi-final tie.
- The third and fourth balls drawn will determine the home and away teams for the second tie.
- Both semi-final ties will be played over two legs (home and away).
The draw will be broadcast live on the SuperSport PSL channel (202).
