Pirates Confirm Kwayiba’s Move To Chippa United

Orlando Pirates have announced the departure of Sinoxolo Kwayiba, who has completed a permanent move to Chippa United with immediate effect.

Kwayiba joined the Buccaneers from Chippa United during the off-season from Chippa but struggled for regular game time.

The 25-year-old featured in just four matches across all competitions during the first half of the season, which ultimately led to his exit, despite Pirates winning both the MTN8 and the Carling Knockout Cup.

“Orlando Pirates would like to thank Sinoxolo Kwayiba for his service as he returns to Chippa United on a permanent move,” the club said in a statement on social media.

“We wish him well.”

It has been a busy period for Pirates, who also confirmed the signing of Andre de Jong from Stellenbosch FC on Monday, as the PSL January transfer window gathers momentum.
