“No Pressure, No Performance”: Parker’s Bold Mission To Save TS Galaxy’s Season

TS Galaxy interim coach Bernard Parker has addressed the pressure that comes with his new role, admitting that expectations are high despite the limited time he has had to prepare.

Parker has been tasked with leading the team to Nedbank Cup success while readying them within a very short period.

The former Kaizer Chiefs forward has had just two weeks to prepare Galaxy for their Ke Yona Cup final clash against Durban City on Saturday.

At the same time, with only four matches remaining in the Betway Premiership, Parker also carries the responsibility of improving the team’s form following a disappointing run of four consecutive defeats.

He acknowledged that the pressure is real but believes it is necessary, as it can motivate the team to raise their performance levels.

“There is always pressure,” said Parker.

“There is always pressure in this business, both for players and coaches. It’s about making sure we handle that pressure well. We know that without pressure, you won’t perform.

“So pressure is needed, and it’s up to us to manage it properly so we can perform at our best when match day arrives.”
