Seema Reacts To Siwelele Betway Premiership Relegation Escape

Siwelele coach Lehlohonolo Seema has expressed relief after guiding his side away from relegation danger in the Betway Premiership.
Siwelele currently sit ninth on the table with 32 points from 26 matches. With four games remaining, they still have an outside chance of finishing in the top eight—provided teams above them drop points and they secure maximum points in their remaining fixtures.
But this 32-point haul with the average “safety mark” in the Premiership (usually 30 points) to emphasize why Seema feels “relieved.”
The Bloemfontein-based side had a difficult start to the season, struggling in the relegation zone, but the former Sekhukhune United coach has helped turn things around.
“People forget that after nine games we had five points,” said Seema following their 2–0 league victory over Kaizer Chiefs on Wednesday.
“We were in position 16. These boys turned it around. I think these players deserve more praise because they sacrificed a lot and worked extremely hard. They had to develop character quickly.
“I also want to thank the Siwelele management, the chairman, and the CEO. We really appreciate them for trusting us to lead this team. It was not easy, especially as they were new to the game, but they managed to steer the ship forward. This crowd will have every reason to be happy next season.”
Seema’s side will face Nedbank Cup finalists Durban City at Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium on Tuesday.
