Sekhukhune Secure Pirates Defender For Another Loan Deal

Sekhukhune United has secured right-back Tshepo Mashiloane on another season-long loan from Orlando Pirates.
The 24-year-old defender originally joined Orlando Pirates from Baroka FC at the start of the 2025/26 season but struggled for game time under coach Abdeslam Ouaddou. After just two appearances for the Buccaneers, Mashiloane secured a deadline-day loan move to Babina Noko to revive his campaign.
That move paid off handsomely. Mashiloane established himself as a reliable force in Limpopo, making 19 appearances across all competitions while contributing two goals and two assists from the backline.
Kaze Builds Continuity for the 2026/27 Campaign
Those impressive numbers convinced newly appointed head coach Cedric Kaze to retain Mashiloane’s services for the upcoming 2026/27 Betway Premiership season. Mashiloane’s extension adds defensive depth alongside Nyiko Mobbie, who arrives from Siwelele FC.
Sekhukhune United welcomed the defender’s return in an official statement:
“Sekhukhune United Football Club is pleased to announce the extension of defender Tshepho Mashiloane’s loan from Orlando Pirates.
“The 24-year-old returns to Babina Noko after an impressive 2025/26 campaign, where he made 17 appearances across all competitions, contributing two goals and two assists from defence. Having already demonstrated his quality and commitment during his time at the Club, his return provides further continuity and strength to the squad ahead of the 2026/27 Betway Premiership season.
“We are delighted to welcome Tshepho back to the Babina Noko Family.”
Babina Noko will kick off their Betway Premiership campaign on 1 August, when they host Durban City at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.
