Hope FC Sign Shaka
Newly promoted Motsepe Foundation Championship side Hope FC have officially signed winger Thamsanqa “Shaka” Magwaza on a season-long loan from Sekhukhune United.
The Limpopo outfit rates Magwaza highly but wants him to gain regular playing time. He spent last season on loan in the Eastern Cape with Chippa United, but found game time hard to come by—making just four appearances during a turbulent campaign where the Chilli Boys changed coaches six times.
Magwaza originally joined Sekhukhune from ABC Motsepe League side FC Ravens in 2024 before his stint in Gqeberha.
Now in Cape Town with Hope FC—who gained promotion after winning the ABC Motsepe League National Playoffs—Magwaza will work under the coaching duo of Clayton Daniels and Zama Diyelela.
Nicknamed The Immortals, Hope FC will kick off their Motsepe Foundation Championship campaign against seasoned campaigners University of Pretoria at Athlone Stadium on 22 August.
