‘This Is Just The Beginning’: Kwayiba
Stellenbosch FC forward Sinoxolo Kwayiba expressed his delight after scoring his first goal for the club, promising to add more goals as the season progresses.
Kwayiba netted his first official goal for Stellies in Tuesday’s 3–3 draw against Polokwane City in the Betway Premiership.
The former Orlando Pirates striker enjoyed an impressive spell with Chippa United last season, earning him a move to Stellenbosch as the club looks to strengthen its attack.
Kwayiba vowed that his first goal would be the first of many for Stellies.
“Looking back at the game against Polokwane City, it wasn’t easy at all,” said Kwayiba.
“It was a physical game against a tough opponent, but we were well prepared and showed good fighting spirit to come away with a point away from home.
“I am also happy that I was able to get my first goal in the Stellies jersey. As a striker, you want to score as many goals as you can, so I always keep working hard to make sure that, when I get a chance, I am able to take it.
“Thanks must also go to my teammates for always supporting me, and I believe there is more to come. This is just the beginning, and there are many more to come.”
Stellenbosch FC will be back in action on Friday evening when they host Marumo Gallants at Athlone Stadium in Cape Town [19:30].
