Ndlovu Demands Consistency From Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Siphesihle Ndlovu has urged Amakhosi to match the fight and intensity they displayed against Mamelodi Sundowns when they visit Richards Bay in Durban next week.
Ndlovu emphasized that maintaining the high standards set against Sundowns will be vital if Chiefs are to sustain their progress this season.
The former Orlando Pirates midfielder was named Man of the Match in last Saturday’s Betway Premiership 1–1 draw against Sundowns at FNB Stadium.
Quick to credit his teammates for the collective effort, Ndlovu put in a tireless shift to earn the individual award.
He played a pivotal role in Amakhosi’s opening goal, holding off his markers before setting up youngster Langelihle Phili to net his first senior goal for the club.
Chiefs were denied all three points when Cassius Mailula bravely put his body on the line to head home the equalizer, taking a blow from goalkeeper Brandon Petersen in the process.
“I think it is easy to put in a good performance against our big rivals because we understand the type of opponents we are facing and the type of game they play,” Ndlovu said.
“It is when we play other teams who are extra motivated to play against us that we have to give them the same focus as when we play the top teams.
“It is up to us as players to ensure we perform to the best of our abilities with total commitment.”
The draw saw Chiefs drop off the summit of the Betway Premiership table, with rivals Orlando Pirates taking over top spot due to goal difference following a 3–0 win over Chippa United on Sunday.
Concluding his remarks, Ndlovu praised the Amakhosi Faithful for their unwavering backing as the club targets silverware.
“I really appreciate our fans for coming to support us in large numbers, and I urge them to keep coming to follow us in all of our matches.
“Hearing them singing in the stands really motivates us to achieve success, and we need them more than ever,” said the former Maritzburg United midfielder.
