AmaZulu Announce Departure Of Letsoalo
AmaZulu FC has announced the release of striker Victor Letsoalo.
The club is letting go of players deemed surplus to requirements after failing to secure a top-eight finish in the DStv Premiership last season.
Letsoalo arrived at Usuthu at the start last season in a swap deal with Sekhukhune United, involving Rally Bwalya moving in the opposite direction. However, his performance fell short of expectations. He featured in 22 matches across all competitions but only managed to score three goals.
This lack of productivity led AmaZulu to part ways with the striker. Letsoalo struggled to recapture the form that saw him finish second in the PSL golden boot race with 15 goals during the 2021/22 season while playing for Royal AM. Back then, Royal AM finished third in the league, and Letsoalo missed out on the top scorer award to Peter Shalulule, who netted 23 league goals.
After his successful season at Royal AM, Letsoalo moved to Sekhukhune United, followed by AmaZulu, but failed to rediscover his goal-scoring touch at either club.
His departure follows the exits of George Maluleka, Augustine Kwem, and Veluyeke Zulu, who have also been released by AmaZulu.
