Gallants Consider Reunion With Kerr

Marumo Gallants are considering the appointment of Dylan Kerr as their new coach.
Gallants is back in the DStv Premiership top flight after buying Moroka Swallows as a whole and the transaction was ratified by the PSL executive which was confirmed on Thursday.
If Kerr is appointed, it will be second homecoming at the club, who he led the club to Nedbank Cup trophy in the 2020/21 season in their first appearance in the top flight.
They finished that term under the new management of Abram Sello who bought the club from Lawrence Mulaudzi, who had purchased Bidvest Wits.
At the start of the 2021/22 season, Sello named the club as Marumo Gallants, nicknamed as Bahlabana Bantwa.
Kerr also coached Black Leopards and interestingly, Swallows, saving them from the PSL promotion and relegation playoffs in the same season of the 2021/22 campaign.
But Swallows parted ways with him in September 2022 after Dube Birds were hammered 4-0 by Golden Arrows in Durban.
The 57-year-old coach has been without a club since leaving the Dube Birds, who are now no longer existing.
Gallants, on the other hand, were relegated to the Motsepe Foundation Championship at the end of the 2022/23 season after losing a crucial match against (now-defunct) Swallows. However, they enjoyed a successful cup run, reaching the CAF Confederation Cup semifinals before being eliminated by Young Africans of Tanzania.
By acquiring Swallows’ status, Gallants have secured their return to the DStv Premiership for the upcoming season, and they may now look to reunite with Kerr to spearhead their top-flight campaign.
