AmaZulu Appoints Vilakazi As DDC Coach
AmaZulu FC has appointed Vusumuzi Vilakazi as the head coach of their DStv Diski Challenge team for the upcoming 2024/25 season.
Vilakazi has been without a club after he left Richards Bay last week in what was a bizarre move having saved them from relegation last season via the PSL promotion and relegation playoffs.
The former Golden Arrows coach has since been replaced by Brandon Truter at bay, who appointed him this past week.
“We are pleased to announce the appointment of Vusimuzi Vilakazi as our new Diski Team Head Coach for the 2024/25 season,” said AmaZulu in a statement.
“‘Kanu’ as he is affectionately known, joins us with a wealth of experience, having previously excelled at both the DDC level and Premiership level. We are confident that his expertise and vision will greatly benefit our team. We extend our best wishes to Vusimuzi as he embarks on this new journey with us.”
Vilakazi has a proven track record in the competition, having previously won the DStv Diski Challenge titles twice between 2015/16 and 2017/18.
His knowledge and understanding of the league will undoubtedly benefit AmaZulu’s young players.
