AmaZulu Confirms Search For Striker Continues

AmaZulu co-coach Vusi Vilakazi has indicated that the club is not finished in the transfer market, emphasizing the need for a permanent striker.
This follows the recent signings of Sandile Mthethwa and Bongani Zungu as the club strengthens its squad ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
Vilakazi acknowledged that their current top scorer, Etiosa Ighodaro, is on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns and therefore not a permanent member of the AmaZulu squad.
“Maybe, I think we need to get a striker as well,” said Vilakazi. “Obviously, we have Sede Dion, and we have Ighodaro now and Mbhobho (Senzo Ndlovu). Sadly, Ighodaro is not our player, he is on loan. We need to acquire a striker who will provide more competition and be a perfect fit for us. That is the department where we need to ensure we have suitable personnel.”
The 23-year-old Ighodaro has been a key player for AmaZulu this season, sharing the top scorer position with Hendrick Ekstein with three league goals.
Usuthu, currently positioned 13th in the Betway Premiership table, will face league leaders Mamelodi Sundowns at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Tuesday.
