AmaZulu Linked With Zimbabwe Midfielder

AmaZulu are reportedly interested in signing Zimbabwean midfielder Mason Mushore from Highlanders FC.
According to reports from Zimbabwe, Mushore is expected to join Usuthu during the January transfer window, with contractual terms between the club and the player said to have been fully agreed.
The 23-year-old has attracted attention from several clubs in South Africa, Europe, and Zimbabwe, but it is believed he has chosen AmaZulu as his next destination.
If the move goes through, Mushore will reunite with his compatriot Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya, who joined AmaZulu in July.
Ngwenya has settled in well at the Durban-based side, emerging as their top scorer early in the 2025/26 Beyway Premiership season with four goals in eight matches.
However, the striker picked up an injury during AmaZulu’s Carling Knockout Round of 16 defeat to Magesi FC before the FIFA international break.
As a result, Ngwenya missed Zimbabwe’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Bafana Bafana and Lesotho, although he was included on the bench for the clash against Likuena.
Usuthu, who are ninth in the Betway Premiership with 12 points after eight matches, will return to action when they host Durban City in the Durban Derby at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
