AmaZulu Welcome New Goalkeeper Coach

AmaZulu has swiftly appointed Musa Langa as their new goalkeeper coach, replacing Wendell Robinson.
Robinson recently departed Usuthu to join Rulani Mokwena at MC Alger in Algeria, following Mokwena’s recent appointment as head coach there.
Mokwena and Robinson previously worked together extensively at Mamelodi Sundowns, winning numerous trophies, including the CAF Champions League.
Robinson was among several technical team coaches dismissed by Sundowns in December of last year, after the club fired Manqoba Mngqithi and replaced him with Miguel Cardoso.
Mngqithi had initially taken over from Mokwena at the beginning of last season at Sundowns but was let go due to dissatisfaction with the team’s style of play.
After Mngqithi moved to Golden Arrows, Robinson joined AmaZulu in March as the replacement for Aubrey Vilakazi. Vilakazi had been promoted at the start of last season following the departure of Wayne Sandilands, who joined Fadlu Davids at Tanzanian side Simba SC.
Langa returns to Usuthu with a history at the club, having previously played as a goalkeeper and served as a reserve team and youth goalkeeper coach. This marks another stint as the club’s senior goalkeeper coach.
He previously held the position after the departure of Johan Abselon, who served as both assistant coach and goalkeeper coach under former coach Brandon Truter during the 2022/23 season.
This appointment coincided with the announcement of French tactician Romain Folz as AmaZulu’s new head coach at that time.
