Bafana To Host Uganda In the AFCON At Orlando

SAFA has confirmed that tickets for next month’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between Bafana Bafana and Uganda are now on sale.
Bafana Bafana will host Uganda on 6 September at Orlando Stadium, marking the start of the qualifiers, which must be completed by November of this year. The tournament finals will be held in Morocco next year, from December to January 2026.
SAFA President Dr. Danny Jordaan urged fans to turn out in large numbers to support Bafana Bafana, echoing the enthusiasm displayed during the recent 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. The national team’s popularity has surged following their bronze medal win at the AFCON finals in Ivory Coast earlier this year.
“We want to continue the momentum and the amazing scenes we saw in Bloemfontein when Bafana Bafana faced Zimbabwe in June. We want to see the same at Orlando Stadium,” said Dr Jordaan.
Tickets for the September match are priced at R30 for children, scholars, and students, R60 for adults, and R140 for a family (two adults and two children). They can be purchased at TicketPro, all Spar supermarkets (QuickSpar and SuperSpar), SASOL, ENGEN, SHELL, PowerFashion, and JAM Clothing.
Following the Uganda match, Bafana Bafana will travel to South Sudan for their second group game on 10 September. Coach Hugo Broos’ team is in Group K alongside Uganda, Congo, and South Sudan. The top two teams will qualify for the tournament in Morocco.
Broos is expected to announce his preliminary squad next week after observing players during the recent MTN8 quarter-finals.
