Brah Stan’s Funeral Details Revealed 

The funeral of the late Stanley “Screamer” Tshabalala has been confirmed.  

Tshabalala, who worked in all the top three sides in South Africa – namely Mamelodi Sundowns, Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates, sadly passed away on Thursday.  

Brah Stan, as he was affectionately known, was attacked in his residence in March and afterwards went to the ICU.  

It is those injuries that has claimed the life of former Bafana Bafana coach and team manager.    

“The Tshabalala family and Orlando Pirates announcing that Stanley Tshabalala will be laid to rest on Thursday,18 July 2024,” said the statement.  

“The funeral service will commence at 09h00 at Grace Bible Church in Pimville, Soweto. The procession will depart from Grace Bible Church in Pimville, Soweto.  

“Screamer as he was effectively known in football fraternity succumbed to the injury he suffered when he was shot in March this year.”  

Tshabalala, 75, was working for Pirates as a technical on the time of his passing. Former players he coached, political parties have all reacted to pay tribute the man, who was the first coach to lead Bafana Bafana post-Apartheid era in 1992 after they were readmitted by FIFA.  

Tshabalala led Pirates to MTN8 victory in 1978, two with Mamelodi Sundowns in 1988 and 1990.
