Chiefs DDC Finish Diski Challenge Season With Dominant Win Over AmaZulu

Kaizer Chiefs Reserve team concluded their DStv Diski Challenge season in emphatic fashion, overpowering AmaZulu 5-0 at Dobsonville Stadium on Sunday.
This match marked the final game of the season, with Chiefs having already secured the Diski Challenge title the previous weekend at the same venue.
Naledi netted two goals, and Manqoba Ozoemena also scored a brace. Siphesihle Tati contributed the other goal, capping off a dominant performance for Chiefs.
This victory propelled Chiefs to a new DStv Diski Challenge record of 70 points, a feat never before achieved.
This accomplishment comes despite Royal AM’s absence from the Reserve League after their removal by the PSL executive committee due to a FIFA-imposed ban preventing them from signing new players.
Stellenbosch, the champions of the previous two seasons, finished second with 63 points.
Chiefs had also hoped for their striker, Hlongwane, to win the golden boot award. However, he was unable to claim the top scorer title, which went to Orlando Pirates striker Sphamandla Msezane, who scored 15 goals.
As Chiefs DDC won the league, they will feature at the international tournament in India in the coming weeks.
The celebrations for Chiefs could potentially double this season, as their senior team is set to face Pirates in the Nedbank Cup final at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday.
