Durban City Sign Sundowns Defender And Ex-Pirates Striker

Durban City has confirmed the signings of defender Terrence Mashego from Mamelodi Sundowns and striker Letsie Koapeng from Orbit College.
As previously reported by Sportswire, both players were brought in to add quality and depth to the squad.
New Signings to Boost Squad
Mashego joins the club on a season-long loan from Sundowns, where his experience at left-back is expected to be a major asset.
Meanwhile, Koapeng, who was recently with newly promoted Orbit College, has signed a two-year permanent deal with Durban City.
“The signing of Terrence Mashego provides us with immediate, proven quality and vital experience for our defense,” said Durban City chairman Farook Kadodia. “He is a winner who knows what it takes to compete at the very highest level.”
Kadodia added that Koapeng will enhance the team’s attacking options. “We understand the demands of top-flight football and know that we will need dynamic individuals throughout the season,” he said.
“These two signings are a clear statement of our intent to compete now while also building a solid foundation for sustained success. They add crucial depth and different dimensions to our team, making us strong across the park.”
Durban City is currently sixth in the Betway Premiership table with eight points from six matches, and these new additions are part of their effort to bolster the squad.
It remains to be seen whether Mashego and Koapeng will feature in the squad for City’s home match against Siwelele FC at Chatsworth Stadium on Tuesday [19:30].
