Ellis In Pain To Be Without Key Stars Against Denmark And England

Banyana Banyana coach Desiree Ellis appeared to be in pain that she will be without some of her key players who will face Denmark and world number two team in England in her team’s European tour.
Ellis will be without Bongeka Gamede, star striker Seoposenwe, and Refiloe Jane.
“It is sad that we don’t have them and they are not available for this game,” said Ellis.
When she was asked if this is according to the clubs, Ellis repeatedly said, “They are not available.”
She continued: “It is the same here in the Hollywoodbets Super League where players are not playing and it is unfortunate and you don’t know the reasons why sometimes.
“Refiloe Jane not being there, Bongeka Gamede not being there, we need the experience because, as I just said, we are not playing just any teams but we are going to play against the team top teams.
“So, we need the experience there because we can’t just throw players to the wolves, you have to bring players through and also protect players.”
Despite being without these key players, Ellis has the experience of star striker Thembi Kgatlana, Bambanani Mbane, Hildah Magaia, Kholosa Biyana and Lebohang Ramalepe.
“We are not going to play mickey mouse team, we are going to play England which is number two in the world, we are going to play Denmark which is number 12th in the world,” she added.
“So, you need the experience and your best available players and that is the reason I called up Andile Dlamini.”
Banyana Bafana was also announcing the squad for the COSAFA Cup that will take place in Gqeberha from 22 October until 2 November.
Banyana will face Denmark at Aalborgh Stadium on 25 October and four days later against England at Coventry Building society arena, Coventry UK.
That clash is termed as European Championship champions against Women’s Africa Cup of Nations champions.
