Erasmus To Announce Boks Squad On Tuesday

Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus will delay announcing his squad for the upcoming series against Ireland until Tuesday due to a cancelled flight from London.
The Springboks, following their 41-13 victory over Wales at Twickenham on Saturday, were originally scheduled to return to South Africa on Sunday night to prepare for the Castle Lager Incoming Series.
However, after multiple delays, their flight was cancelled, forcing the team to stay an extra night in London. They will now depart late Monday afternoon and arrive in Johannesburg on Tuesday morning.
This delay necessitates a postponement of the squad announcement on Monday for the series, which is expected to be a highly anticipated clash between the world’s top two ranked teams.
Erasmus previously indicated that the availability of Blue Bulls players, who lost the United Rugby Championship final to Glasgow Warriors on Saturday, would be assessed.
Due to the match falling outside the international window, several key players were unavailable for the Wales test, and a much-changed Springbok team, captained by Pieter-Steph du Toit, took the field.
The series against Ireland kicks off in Pretoria on 6 July, followed by a second test in Durban a week later.
