Former Chiefs And Sundowns Joins New Club

Motsepe Foundation Championship side Kruger United has bolstered their squad with the signing of experienced midfielder George Maluleka. The 35-year-old has penned a one-year deal with the club.

Maluleka, who spent the previous two seasons at AmaZulu, brings a wealth of experience to Kruger United. He has previously played for top-tier clubs like Kaizer Chiefs, SuperSport United, and Mamelodi Sundowns.

“Kruger United Football Club is pleased to announce the signing of George Maluleka,” the club said in a statement. 

“The 35-year-old brings experience to the team having played for Kaizer Chiefs FC and SuperSport United FC.” 

Maluleka joins Kruger United, who were promoted to the Motsepe Foundation Championship at the start of the season. The club has a record of one win, one loss, and one draw in their three matches so far.

Throughout his career, Maluleka has made 366 appearances, scoring 23 goals and providing 47 assists. He has won three league titles, two with Sundowns and one with Chiefs, as well as two MTN8 trophies and one Nedbank Cup.

Maluleka’s signing is a significant boost for Kruger as they aim to compete at the highest level in South African football.
