Former Chiefs Coach Appointed As TD For Gallants
Former Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana coach Molefi Ntseki has been appointed as the technical director of Marumo Gallants.
The Bloemfontein native, who was in attendance as Magesi beat Mamelodi Sundowns 2-1 in the Carling Knockout Cup final at Toyota Stadium on Saturday, has been unattached since leaving Chiefs in October last year.
He was given the head coaching job at the start of last term by Chiefs, elevating him from the head of the academy. But results weren’t coming and Chiefs pulled the trigger to fire him
“Marumo Gallants football club is pleased to announce the appointment of Molefi Ntseki as the club’s new Technical Director,” said the club on Monday.
“This strategic appointment is aimed at strengthening the club’s technical department and driving the success of the team on the field.
“Ntseki comes with a wealth of experience and knowledge, having coached various national youth teams, PSL Kaizer Chiefs, and becoming the South African senior national team’s manager.
“His impressive track record and passion for developing young talent make him an ideal fit for the club. Hailing from Botshabelo, he has a deep understanding of the Free State province and fans, which is a bonus to the Bloemfontein-based Gallants squad.”
Commenting on his appointment, Ntseki, who also coached Bloemfontein Celtic in the development, said, “I’m looking forward to working hard as the Technical Director,” said Ntseki.
“I want to thank the club as a whole, the supporters, the coaches, and the management. I’m here to work with everyone to make this club a success.”
