Galaxy Queens Close In On Sundowns As Durban Ladies And Royal AM Struggle Continues

The Hollywoodbets Super League saw some thrilling matches this past weekend, with TS Galaxy Queens emerging victorious in their 1-0 win over JVW Girls at home.
This impressive win has propelled TS Galaxy to second place on the log standings with 37 points from 16 games, just four points behind league leaders Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies, who have 41 points from 17 games.
A win in their next game would see TS Galaxy Queens leapfrog Sundowns, leaving them just one point behind the log leaders.
Meanwhile, Durban Ladies and Royal AM continue to struggle in the relegation zone.
Durban Ladies suffered a 2-0 loss at home to University of Fort Hare Ladies, extending their winless streak and leaving them at the bottom of the log with just five points from 19 games.
Royal AM fared no better, losing 4-2 to Copperbelt Ladies and sitting 15th on the log with 13 points from 21 games.
In other games, UJ Ladies thrashed TUT Matsatsantsa Ladies 4-2, while University of Pretoria secured a 1-0 win over First Touch Ladies. Richmond Ladies and UWC Ladies played out a 1-1 draw, and City Lads won 1-0 against UCT Ladies.
Sundowns Ladies were not playing in the league this weekend as they are busy with the COSAFA CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers in Johannesburg.
Banyana Ba Style have played two games so far, winning their two games against Ntopwa Ladies 3-0 and Zesco Ndola Girls 1-0. Their next game for Sundowns will be against Beauties Ladies on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the upcoming weekend promises to be just as exciting in the Hollywoodbets Super League, with four games scheduled for Saturday and three on Sunday.
On Saturday, City Lads host Ezemvelo at home, while UCT Ladies travel to Eastern Cape to face University of Fort Hare. UWC Ladies host TUT Matsatsantsa Ladies, and the last game will see the struggling Durban Ladies visit First Touch Ladies in Limpopo.
On Sunday, JVW Girls will face Royal AM, while University of Pretoria Ladies will host Richmond Ladies. The last game of the day will see UJ Ladies host TS Galaxy Queens in a highly anticipated match.
