Hunt Bolsters Squad With Another Signing

Durban City have made their fifth signing as they beef up the squad under coach Gavin Hunt for what promises to be a rigorous season.
The newly promoted side, who won the Motsepe Foundation Championship last season, have signed Liam de Kock, who Stellenbosch recently released.
De Kock had been training with AmaZulu in the hopes of securing a deal, but Durban City seized the opportunity to sign him as part of a raft of new acquisitions on Wednesday.
The club also confirmed the signings of Darren Keet, Brooklyn Poggenpoel (a move previously revealed by Sportswire), Ghanaian international goalkeeper Fredrick Asare, and dynamic forward Trevor Mokwena.
Durban City, rebranded from Maritzburg United at the start of last season, will showcase their new signings in the KZN Premier’s Cup this coming weekend.
City will face Milford FC in a playoff match at Umhlathuze Stadium this Saturday at 2:00 PM. They will then kick off their 2025/26 campaign with an away game against TS Galaxy on 10 August at Mbombela Stadium.
