Hunt’s Big Day Gets Marred By Load Shedding

SuperSport United coach Gavin Hunt’s 1000th game as a coach at Lucas Moripe Stadium against Golden Arrows in the Betway Premiership match on Sunday didn’t go as planned.
The match was suspended due to the planned load shedding in Pretoria.
These two sides played only the first half, yet it was also disrupted.
But Hunt’s side started the game very well as they got an early goal in the fourth minute through former Kaizer Chiefs striker Christian Saile.
After Saile’s goal, Abafana Bes’thende was in control of the game dominating with many passes. They made that count as they got a goal in the 24th minute through Velemseni Ndwandwe.
The first half ended 1-1 and the second half didn’t take place. The referee Siyabulela Qunta decided to call off the match due to Load Shedding as there were no backup generators in the field.
This is the second time in a week a game involving Golden Arrows in the PSL has been postponed. Their game against Orlando Pirates at Mpumalanga Stadium midweek was also postponed due to the pitch being waterlogged.
