Kolisi The Star Of SA Yet Again

South Africa’s top athletes, administrators, and media personnel gathered at the Sun City Superbowl in North West to receive the nation’s most prestigious sporting honors at the 17th Edition of the South African Sport Awards.

Aligning with Freedom and Democracy Anniversary

This year’s awards coincided with South Africa’s 30th anniversary of celebrating freedom and democracy. The ceremony highlighted the country’s sporting excellence, which continues to position South Africa globally as a winning nation across all athletic disciplines. It also emphasized national unity despite cultural diversity.

The past three decades have witnessed remarkable progress, from dismantling apartheid to establishing a constitutional democracy based on equality, justice, and human rights. Similarly, South African sports have made incredible strides, rising from international exclusion to top rankings across multiple sports. South African athletes have been instrumental in national development and promoting the nation on the world stage. They truly deserve the recognition received at this year’s awards.
