Major Pirates Blow: Ncikazi And Two Stars Ruled Out Of Sekhukhune Showdown

Orlando Pirates have confirmed that three key figures—including assistant coach Mandla Ncikazi—will be absent when they host Sekhukhune United in their Betway Premiership clash at the Orlando Amstel Arena.
According to a statement released by the club, Ncikazi has been granted temporary leave to focus on his recovery after experiencing ongoing discomfort following emergency knee surgery during pre-season. The assistant coach has returned home to KwaZulu-Natal to receive specialized medical treatment.
On the pitch, the Buccaneers will be without winger Tshepang Moremi, who failed a late fitness test ahead of the encounter. The Bafana Bafana international is still recovering from an injury sustained during Pirates’ 1-1 draw against AmaZulu. New Zealand forward Andre de Jong also remains sidelined as he continues his rehabilitation.

The Club has granted him a short period away from his duties to return to KwaZulu-Natal, where he will receive further medical attention and focus on his recovery.
Orlando Pirates enter Wednesday’s league fixture carrying strong momentum, having secured a 1-0 win over Sekhukhune United in the first leg of their MTN8 semi-final on Saturday.
The two sides will meet again this coming weekend for the decisive second leg of the cup tie.
