Makaab Provides Update About Mbule’s Future

Sipho Mbule’s agent, Mike Makaab, has provided a crucial update about his client’s future with Mamelodi Sundowns, amidst speculation surrounding the player’s uncertain status with the Brazilians.

Mbule’s contract with Sundowns is set to expire at the end of the season, and his recent stint with Sekhukhune United was cut short due to disciplinary issues.

The 27-year-old midfielder was loaned out to Sekhukhune at the beginning of the season, but things didn’t go well.

Babina Noko decided to part ways with him earlier this month, citing disciplinary issues as the reason. This wasn’t the first time Mbule faced disciplinary action, having been suspended in March for misconduct.

In May, the club opted to release him instead of suspending him again.

Since he departed from Sekhukhune, Sportswire revealed last week that Mbule has not been training with Sundowns, leaving his future with the club uncertain.

However, Makaab remains optimistic about his client’s prospects. According to Makaab, Sundowns have until the end of May to exercise their option on Mbule’s contract.

“Mamelodi Sundowns have until the end of May to exercise their option on Sipho Mbule,” Makaab revealed on Extra-Time with Gagasi FM.

“If they don’t exercise the option, then Sipho is a free agent, and we will then look at a number of possibilities for him. I’m not concerned, he’s a talented player.”

Makaab acknowledged Mbule’s problems but emphasized his client’s talent, saying, “Yes, of course, he has his problems; we don’t have to beat about the bush with that, but he’s a talented footballer. I’m convinced that he’s going to put his best foot forward.”

If Sundowns decides not to renew Mbule’s contract, Makaab and his team will explore other options for Mbule.

“Well, if Mamelodi Sundowns decide not to renew his contract, then he is a free agent. We have to look at other means of trying to move him if both he and the club are not keen to continue their relationship,” Makaab explained.

Makaab concluded by emphasizing the need to carefully examine all possibilities to guide Mbule’s future decisions.

“It’s never easy, but we have to take this case, carefully examine all of the possibilities to guide and assist Sipho on the decisions for his future.”
