Mngqithi Joins Carling All Stars Bench For Pirates Showdown

Golden Arrows coach Manqoba Mngqithi has been appointed as the co-coach of the Carling All Stars team that will face Orlando Pirates in the Carling Cup at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday.

Bonginkosi Chonco was officially announced as the Champion Coach and will lead the Carling All Stars, but he will be guided by the experienced Mngqithi from Arrows.

Chonco was selected by the fans, along with the Carling All Stars squad, which is made up of players from various PSL clubs to take on Pirates.

Pirates will participate in this competition after winning the Carling Knockout Cup against Marumo Gallants at Peter Mokaba Stadium this past weekend.

Meanwhile, Pirates will be aiming to become the first team to win the Carling Cup, as the Carling All Stars have lifted the trophy for the past two seasons.

Previously, Stellenbosch—who won the Carling Knockout Cup in the 2023/24 season at Moses Mabhida Stadium—lost to the All Stars in 2023.

Magesi, who won the Carling Knockout Cup final last season, were the next victims, falling to the All Stars in December at Orlando Stadium.
