More Players Exit At Arrows

More player departures are underway at Golden Arrows, as coach Manqoba Mngqithi continues to release players ahead of next season.

Olwethu Ncube, Ntsikelelo Nxadi, John Mwengani, and former Orlando Pirates attacker Menzi Masuku are among the latest to exit the club. Their departures follow those of Ryan Moon, Puleng Tlolane, Sifiso Mlungwana, and Kagiso Malinga, which were reported by this publication a few weeks ago.

Interestingly, Nkosi Gumede, who was initially released alongside the latter group of players, has been recalled by the club. This decision comes as goalkeeper Ismail Watenga faces a potential long-term injury layoff.

Gumede, the longest-serving member of Golden Arrows’ senior team, has been with the club since 2011, making 132 appearances. His career at Arrows dates back to when current assistant coach Musa Bilankulu was in his first playing stint at the club. However, he has not recorded a clean sheet during his time as a goalkeeper.

New Arrivals at Golden Arrows

As previously reported, Golden Arrows has already strengthened its squad. They’ve acquired Jerome Karelse from Mamelodi Sundowns and Malawian international Yankho Singo from Nyasa Big Bullets. Additionally, the club has signed Thokozani Khumalo from Mkhambathi FC in the ABC Motsepe League and is currently assessing Sanele Radebe from Royal AM.
