Motaung Addresses Velebhayi And Baartman Issues
Kaizer Chiefs Marketing and Commercial Director, Jessica Motaung, has provided a crucial update on the potential signings of young talents Asanele Velebhayi and Luke Baartman.
Motaung confirmed that the Soweto giants are following proper procedures about Cape Town Spurs duo and will make an official announcement regarding the Kaizer Chiefs’ new signings when the time is right.
“I think what’s important is that we’re in the business of doing things in a way that won’t interfere with other clubs, we want to follow certain procedures, and that relates to any other players we’re looking at,” Motaung said.
“So, we’re taking a very professional approach in terms of integrating and bringing the players into the team, so we will make sure we only make announcements when the time is right, so watch this space.
“But certainly, we can’t be engaging on players who are still with teams or still contracted. Once there are any changes, we will make those announcements.”
She added, “There is just a process and that process needs to be followed; once it’s done, we will make announcements.”
The Glamour Boys have been highly active in the current transfer window, bolstering their squad ahead of the new season. Following their pre-season tour in the Netherlands, Chiefs have already confirmed the acquisitions of Siphesihle Ndlovu, Nkanyiso Shinga, Flavio Silva, Ethan Chislet, Paseko Mako, and Thabiso Monyane.
