Peter Mokaba Stadium To Host Carling Knockout Final

The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has confirmed that the Carling Knockout final will be played at Peter Mokaba Stadium on 6 December.

Orlando Pirates have been designated as the home team for the final, while Marumo Gallants will be the away side. Gallants secured their spot in the decider after beating Golden Arrows on penalties at King Zwelithini Stadium on Sunday.

Pirates, meanwhile, booked their place in the final with a 1-0 victory over Richards Bay at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday.

This will be the first League Cup final hosted at Peter Mokaba Stadium since the 2016/17 season, when Cape Town City — under coach Eric Tinkler — defeated SuperSport United.

Magesi FC are the current holders of the Carling Knockout, having stunned Mamelodi Sundowns in last season’s final at Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein.
