Pirates Are Heading Back To Spain—But Look Who They’re Sharing A Pitch With

Orlando Pirates will return to Spain for the third consecutive year as they step up preparations for the 2026/27 season.
Marbella Football Center has confirmed that the Buccaneers will once again be among the clubs holding their pre-season training camp at the renowned Spanish facility.
Pirates will share the training complex with several high-profile clubs, including Club América, Coventry City, Al Ahli, Al Ittihad and Al Ettifaq.
The Buccaneers have begun their preparations earlier than usual after the Premier Soccer League announced that the 2026/27 season will kick off in early August.
Pirates have already started training in South Africa and will open their campaign as defending MTN8 champions against Durban City on 2 August.
Meanwhile, several key first-team players have yet to join the squad for pre-season after being called up to represent their national teams at the FIFA World Cup.
The Soweto giants have also strengthened their squad with several new signings as they look to challenge for silverware in the upcoming campaign.
The training camp in Spain will give new head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou the opportunity to work with his new recruits and continue implementing his ideas ahead of the new season.
