Pirates Triumph As Chiefs Stumble In Diski Challenge

Orlando Pirates continued their impressive form in the DStv Diski Challenge, securing a 2-1 victory against Durban City at Chatsworth Stadium on Saturday, showcasing their determination and skill in a dramatic encounter.
The Buccaneers went into halftime trailing City, with a dramatic game unfolding as both teams received red cards, leaving them with 10 players each.
Despite the adversity, Pirates’ second-half resurgence saw them net two goals, cementing their position at the top of the log with 40 points from 16 games.
The defending champions, Kaizer Chiefs, faced a setback with a 2-1 loss to Marumo Gallants at Dr Molemela Stadium on Sunday, slipping to fifth place with 26 points from 15 games under coach Vela Khumalo.
Mamelodi Sundowns, on the other hand, maintained their strong form, thrashing Magesi 3-0 at Tuks Stadium, keeping them in second place with 33 points, seven points behind Pirates.
Other matches saw Siwelele beating Richards Bay 2-0, Sekhukhune dominating TS Galaxy 3-0 at home, and Stellenbosch securing a win against Polokwane City.
AmaZulu suffered a disappointing 2-0 loss to Golden Arrows in the Durban Derby at Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium, while Orbit College cruised to a 4-0 victory over Chippa United at Olympia Park Stadium.
