PSL Confirms KO Time For Nedbank Cup Final

The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has officially announced the kickoff time for the highly anticipated Nedbank Cup final between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates.
The match will be held at the Moses Mabhida Stadium next month, on Saturday, 10 May, with kickoff scheduled for 15:30. This confirmation was released by the PSL on Wednesday.
However, the date for when tickets will go on sale has not yet been disclosed. Football enthusiasts across the country are eagerly awaiting news on when they can purchase tickets for this much-loved derby.
The delay in announcing ticket sales for the Nedbank Cup final might be attributed to the fact that the two Soweto giants are also set to clash in a league match at FNB Stadium this Saturday. It is likely that the PSL and the clubs want to manage ticket sales sequentially to avoid confusion among supporters.
Pirates and Chiefs opened another ticket sale on Wednesday for the league encounter on Saturday, and once those are sold out, the focus will likely shift to the Nedbank Cup final ticket release.
This Nedbank Cup final will mark the first meeting between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates in this competition since the 2005/06 season, where Chiefs emerged victorious on penalties. Their last encounter in any cup competition was the MTN8 final during the 2014/15 season, also held at the Moses Mabhida Stadium, which Chiefs won.
Meanwhile, Orlando Pirates are aiming to make history by becoming the first club in the PSL era to win the Nedbank Cup for three consecutive seasons. They have successfully lifted the trophy in the past two campaigns, defeating Sekhukhune United at Loftus Stadium and Mamelodi Sundowns at Mbombela Stadium respectively.
