Shalulile: Sundowns To Maintain Winning Approach Against Esperance

Mamelodi Sundowns striker Peter Shalulile has affirmed that the team will stick to their winning formula from the first leg as they prepare to face Espérance Sportive de Tunis in the crucial second leg of their CAF Champions League quarterfinal.
The Namibian forward, a key figure for Sundowns, emphasizes the importance of maintaining their game plan for success.
Shalulile, who boasts an impressive 19 CAF Champions League goals for Mamelodi Sundowns, secured the vital winning goal in the first leg, giving his team a slender advantage.
As they head to Stade Olympique Hammadi Agrebi in Tunis on Tuesday (21:00), the stakes are high, with the winner set to face either Al Ahly or Al Hilal in the semi-finals.
The prolific striker insists that their approach will remain unchanged, focusing on disciplined execution and minimizing risks. “Going to Tunisia is the same, stick on the game plan, grind out results and just pray that they don’t score,” warned Shalulile
“And as for us, we do the things that we always go and do, which is the hard work and pushing to get to the next round,” he added, highlighting the team’s unwavering commitment.
Following the crucial Champions League encounter, Sundowns will return to South Africa to face Kaizer Chiefs in the Nedbank Cup semi-final at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Sunday (18:00), showcasing their busy schedule.
