Sundowns Vs Chiefs Game Sold Out At Loftus

The highly anticipated Nedbank Cup semi-final clash between Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs at Loftus Stadium on Sunday (18:00) is officially sold out.

The Premier Soccer League (PSL) confirmed that the match, pitting these two football giants against each other, will be played before a capacity crowd.

The victor of this encounter will advance to the final, where they will face the winner of the other semi-final between Orlando Pirates and Marumo Gallants, scheduled for Orlando Stadium also on Sunday.

Remarkably, this marks the first-ever Nedbank Cup meeting between Sundowns and Chiefs since the commercial bank’s sponsorship began in the 2007/08 season.

Their last cup encounter was in 2006, when the competition was known as the Absa Cup. On that occasion, Chiefs prevailed on penalties and subsequently went on to win the trophy, defeating Orlando Pirates, also on penalties, at Kings Park Stadium in Durban.

Chiefs were then managed by Ernst Middendorp
