Sundowns Vs. Pirates Clash At Loftus Sold Out

Mamelodi Sundowns has announced that their Betway Premiership match against Orlando Pirates at Loftus Stadium this weekend is sold out.
Sundowns is encouraging fans with tickets to arrive early for what promises to be a blockbuster game, featuring the top two teams in the league standings.
Sundowns currently leads the Betway Premiership with 36 points from 13 matches, while Pirates sits second with 30 points, having played one game fewer.
Sundowns solidified their top spot with a 4-0 victory over Golden Arrows at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Sunday. Pirates, meanwhile, overcame their rivals Kaizer Chiefs 1-0 at FNB Stadium on Saturday, also in front of a capacity crowd.
This will be the first league meeting between these two perennial title contenders this season.
Their last encounter was the Nedbank Cup final on 1 June at Mbombela Stadium, where Pirates triumphed 2-1, with Relebohile Mofokeng scoring the winning goal in the final minute.
This marked the second time Pirates had defeated Sundowns in a cup final last season, having also beaten them on penalties in the MTN8 in Durban.
Despite those cup final victories for Pirates, they have finished second in the league table for the past two seasons.
