“System Glitch” Fears As Soweto Derby Sells Out In 24 Hours—Will FNB Stadium Hold?

Orlando Pirates has confirmed that tickets for the Soweto Derby against Kaizer Chiefs later this month are officially sold out.
The highly anticipated clash will take place at FNB Stadium on 26 April.
Tickets for the much-loved fixture went on sale on Monday, and by Tuesday morning, the club confirmed they had completely sold out.
However, there were reports of glitches in the system that left fans frustrated, raising questions about whether these issues were resolved to ensure a smooth purchasing process.
Similar technical problems also caused chaos during the reverse Derby on 28 February, when it was reported that many ticketless fans managed to gain entry into FNB Stadium.
Pirates won that encounter 3-0 last month, thanks to goals from Bafana Bafana stars Tshepang Moremi, Oswin Appollis, and Evidence Makgopa.
It was Pirates’ biggest league victory over Chiefs in 25 years.
