Tinkler Praises Sekhukhune’s Hard Work In Chiefs’ Victory

Sekhukhune United coach Eric Tinkler has praised his team’s hard work and dedication after their 3-1 victory against Kaizer Chiefs in the Betway Premiership match at FNB Stadium on Tuesday.
The win saw Babina Noko return to the top of the log with 16 points in six games, while Amakhosi slipped to third with 13 points in six games.
“We knew that there would be lots of times where we would suffer, but the most important thing was to deal with those difficulties and use all the chances we can get efficiently,” Tinkler said after the match.
“We always look for the weaknesses of the opponent, and their weakness is dealing with transition, and we beat them on that.”
Tinkler was impressed with his team’s performance, saying that everything they worked on in training came out on the pitch.
“So, I’m very proud of the boys because everything we’ve done in training came out on the pitch today,” he said.
“Most times that’s how I judge myself as a coach, what we do at training we must transfer in the game, and we did that in this game.”
The former Cape Town City mentor also acknowledged that Chiefs are a good team, especially compared to previous seasons.
“I think first and foremost, the planning leading up to the game was to analyze Chiefs, and we know that so far this season, they are a very, very good team – and they are a team that’s hard to beat,” he added.
“I think so far this season, they play really good football compared to the previous seasons.
“So, we knew that this game was going to be tough, but we came with a great game plan, which we worked hard on during the week.”
The victory was a testament to Sekhukhune’s hard work and determination.
Babina Noko will look to continue their winning form when they face Golden Arrows at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday.
