Webber Leaves Sekhukhune For MLS Move

Sekhukhune United have confirmed the departure of midfielder Jamie Webber to MLS second division side FC Tulsa, the club announced on Saturday.

Webber, who joined Sekhukhune at the start of last season from SuperSport United, leaves the club without having played a single league match this season due to an injury.

“The Babina Noko family bids a fond farewell to midfielder Jamie Webber, who is now a ‘Roughneck’ – as his new American club, FC Tulsa, are affectionately known. We wish him all the best in this new chapter,” the club stated.

The 27-year-old departs after featuring in 36 matches across all competitions, all of which occurred during his first season. He recorded five goals and five assists.

In total, Webber has played 159 matches in all PSL competitions, scoring 11 goals and providing 16 assists.

FC Tulsa, coached by Luke Spencer, are preparing for a new season in the MLS second division, following a 10th-place finish in the Western Conference last season.
