Zwane Looking For More Signings

AmaZulu coach Arthur Zwane has thoughtfully evaluated the signing of Zimbabwean international Mason Mushore, while highlighting the team’s ongoing need for additional players in the January window.

The 23-year-old was recently announced as a Usuthu player, joining the 2022 MTN8 finalist from the Zimbabwean side Highlanders.

Mushore will be reunited with his countryman Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya, who joined Usuthu in July and has scored four goals in 12 games before suffering an injury that also cost him his place in the Zimbabwe national team.

The former Highlanders player is not the only addition to Zwane’s squad this transfer window, as Sportswire reported that Tashreeq Manuel joined the Durban-based side from

Cape Town Spurs, who are currently participating in the Western Cape ABC Motsepe.

Speaking in Usuthu’s media department, the former Kaizer Chiefs mentor revealed how special the signing of Mushore is and how he will help the club.

“I think having Mason will definitely add some value in the squad,” Zwane said.

“But we are still looking (for more players) because that’s not only the position we wanted.

“I think if we can get at least another quality so that we can get more dimension because in our team we change formations and our system.”

Looking ahead to the second round of the 2025/26 Betway Premiership, Zwane added that they’re looking forward to the last games of the season.

“I think we’re on the right track, and we are just looking forward to the new year,” Zwane added.in

“We just hope that God will bless us with more three points, more togetherness, more love, more good team spirit to the camp, and more positive energy because that is what we really need.”

Usuthu are currently sitting in fifth with 24 points in 14 games in the league this season.

The next game for Zwane’s men will be on the 25th of January at Princes Magogo Stadium against TS Galaxy, where Mushore and Manuel will be aiming to make their debuts and help Usuthu to secure more victories.
