Chiefs Youngsters Shine An All-Stars Rout Of Magesi

Kaizer Chiefs youngsters were the stars of the show as they scored three first-half goals to propel the All-Stars to a convincing 3-0 victory over Magesi FC at Orlando Stadium on Saturday.
In the 11th minute, Naledi Hlongwane opened the scoring with a left-footed shot, expertly assisted by fellow Chiefs player Samkelo Zwane.
Just 10 minutes later, Zwane turned from provider to scorer. Ashley Du Preez played the ball into his path, and Zwane opened his body to side-foot the ball home, doubling the All-Stars’ lead.
A minute later, it was 3-0. Hlongwane completed his brace with another left-footed strike, capitalizing on a pass from Mbekezeli Mbokani. The goal was followed by a jubilant celebration, including a celebratory summersault.
While Magesi were struggling to contain the onslaught, Edmore Chirambandare had an opportunity to pull one back but sent his shot crashing against the crossbar.
In the second half, Magesi attempted to mount a comeback. Wonderboy Makhubu tested Sipho Chaine, the Orlando Pirates goalkeeper and All-Stars captain, but Chaine was equal to the effort.
The tempo of the All-Stars’ game dipped after the substitutions of players like Relebohile Mofokeng, with Thembinkosi Lorch and Patric Maswanganyi entering the fray. However, the game remained entertaining.
Lorch attempted an audacious shot from the center circle, rattling the crossbar and leaving Magesi goalkeeper Elvis Chipezeze scrambling.
This victory marks another successful outing for the All-Stars, following their triumph over Stellenbosch last season. Orlando Pirates coach Jose Riveiro, voted by the fans, has now led the All-Stars to victory in both appearances.
For Magesi, the situation is becoming increasingly dire. They have been winless since their Carling Knockout Cup victory over Sundowns last month. This latest defeat is their fourth consecutive loss across all competitions, leaving them languishing at the bottom of the Betway Premiership table.
