Former Richards Bay Striker Lands New Club

Former Richards Bay and Polokwane City striker Khuda Muyaba has signed for Zimbabwean Premier Soccer League (PSL) newcomers Scottland FC.

The Malawian center forward was available as a free agent on the market following his exit from Motsepe Foundation Championship outfit Venda FC, where he penned a short-term deal in the January transfer window.

Information gathered by this publication indicates that Muyaba, who was previously linked with another Zim PSL club, Manica Diamonds, put pen to paper on a two-year contract that will keep him with the ambitious team until July 2027.

In South Africa, the 31-year-old is notably known for dragging Rise and Shine through a court case with FIFA, citing breach of contract over unpaid wages, which ultimately resulted in a transfer ban on the Limpopo-based outfit.

Like his spell in the South African second-tier with Venda FC, Muyaba had a brief stint with the Natal Rich Boys, lasting only six months as he failed to impress, managing to score a solitary goal in 14 appearances for the KZN team.

Now, in Scottland, the nomadic player will link up with former Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns star Khama Billiat, Walter Musona, and ex-Orlando Pirates and SuperSport United frontman Terrence Dzvukamanja, who was announced as a new signing last week.

The megarich club is strengthening its ranks with much-needed firepower, as goals have been hard to come by despite boasting several household names in the squad. Billiat, who had a stellar 2024/25 campaign with 13 goals and 11 assists, has so far scored one goal this term.

However, Scottland are currently in fifth place with 28 points accumulated from 17 league outings with a game in hand. The Harare side was founded in 2023 and quickly rose to prominence in the Zimbabwean football landscape.
