Chiefs Part Ways With Sam

Kaizer Chiefs have released Bongani Sam, making him the latest player to depart from the Soweto Giants, without a kicking a ball.
Sam, who joined the club at the beginning of last season, did not feature in a single match due to an injury sustained during the pre-season camp in Turkey.
He had previously been released by Orlando Pirates.
“After just one season, Kaizer Chiefs have amicably agreed to part ways with defender Bongani Sam,” read a statement from the club.
“The Gqeberha native joined the team from Orlando Pirates in July 2024. Wishing Bongani all the best.”
Sam was also not part of Chiefs’ pre-season camp this off-season.
He joins a list of players who have left the club during this transfer window, including Ranga Chivaviro, Sabelo Radebe, Edmilson Dove, Mduduzi Mdantsane, Edson Castillo, Tebogo Potsane, and Yusuf Maart, who was sold to Austrian club RS Ried.
