Banyana Ready For Ghana Clash

Banyana Banyana midfielder Noxolo Cesane has affirmed the team’s readiness for their crucial opening match against Ghana on Monday at Honneur Stadium.

While confident, Cesane emphasizes that the primary focus is on delivering a top-tier performance on game day.

Group C Challenge: Ghana, Mali, Tanzania Await

Banyana Banyana finds themselves in Group C of the tournament, alongside formidable opponents Mali, Tanzania, and Ghana. The anticipation for the competition is high, especially after the new trophy was unveiled earlier this week in Rabat.

“From my side, I’d say how I perceive everything from the players is that they are more focused on what we need to be doing on that day when the Ghana game comes and we’re really working on that,” said Cesane.

“I can also say I’m on the same page with the other players that we’re not stressed about other teams, but more stressed on what we’re going to be doing on the day because we need to make sure that we do what we trained.”

She further elaborated, “Actually, it means a lot, but the focus is more on the recent one. Whatever we had been doing back then past. I think we’re trying by all means we keep that same energy on this because sometimes you don’t have to change a lot of things, but to keep the positive things to be able to move forward, to improve and achieve.”

Consistency and Self-Improvement: Cesane’s Message

Cesane stressed the importance of maintaining their winning mentality and continuing to build on past successes.

“Every day, every month, and every season teams change, and it is going to be hard, but we have to fix ourselves instead of looking at other teams, and we have to work hard to achieve what we want,” said Cesane.

“So far, we are doing well, we have frustrations here and there, like mistakes on the field, and we have to fix those, it’s difficult, but we are working hard,” Cesane added.
